Nili, Neeli Masjid or 'blue Mosque' is situated in the Kharehra village of the Hauz Khas Enclave, New Delhi. Only the Prayer Chamber of the Mosque has survived the waves of time. Its facade is decorated with blue tiles which gives the mosque its present name.
As per the Archeological Survey of India, the mosque was probably build during the reign of Sikandar Lodi(1489-1517). By reading the inscription over its central Archway we come to realize that it must be built in the year 1505-06 AD. by Kasumbhil, nurse of Fatah Khan, son of Khan-i-Azam Masnad 'Ali Khawas Khan' . then governor of Delhi.
This mosque is still used for Friday Prayers by the Muslim Community. A man is offering prayer in the Picture.
To gain the perfect exposure this image was processed with High Dynamic Range(HDR) technique.
