Nesse outro lado da legislação, uma figura mais velha, com um livro aberto no colo, marcado com o dizer «a lei», coloca um pequeno saco (de dinheiro?) no único prato da balança. Mural de Elihu Vedder. Átrio da Sala de Leitura Principal, do edifício Thomas Jefferson da Biblioteca do Congresso dos Estados Unidos, Washington, D.C. A figura central está sentada num pedestal que diz «LEGISLAÇÃO CORRUPTA». A assinatura do artista está datada 1896.
