Attili is a village in the Attili mandal of the Bhimavaram revenue division in the West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1] It is headquarters of the mandal and belongs to the Tanuku (Assembly constituency). Attili has its own train station.

History[edit | edit source]

Rajahmundry district was formed in 1823 and in 1859 bifurcated into Godavari District and Krishna district. In 1925, Godavari district was split into East Godavari district and West Godavari district.[2][3]

The reorganisation of the districts in 2022 increased the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26.[4]

Demographics[edit | edit source]

As of 2011 Census of India, Attili had a population of 25004. The total population constitute, 12509 males and 12495 females with a sex ratio of 999 females per 1000 males. 2315 children are in the age group of 0–6 years, with sex ratio of 928. The average literacy rate stands at 78.82%.[5]
