asked the lady if the Thai Curry Laksa was the same as a Chiangmai Khao Soi and she was honest enough to say that it was similar, but the noodles were different. Fair enough. The noodles for a proper Khao Soi are thinner and deep fried to a crisp, so that when the curry broth is ladled over, it soaks it up like a sponge.
This Thai-style curry laksa was pretty good though, and not too rich with coconut cream either.

The friendly Thai lady was there to take our orders, but Richard the boss wasn't there.
