English: The size of the Black Hole was 22 ft. x 14 ft. and its probable height 16 ft to 18 ft. One hundred and forty-six human beings were forced into it on the night of June 20, 1756, by Suraj-ud-daulah, Nawab of Murshidabad; twenty-three only survived next morning. |
