However, Humayun was not present at this battle. Below the miniature is one of the usual summaries of the events in the picture: Ǧang kardan-i laškar-i ḥażrat Ǧannat Āššiyānī bā Afġānān wa fatḥ namūdan dar ḥīnī ki urdū-yi ẓafar-qarīn mutawaǧǧih-i fatḥ-i Hindustān būd. "The battle of His Majesty Jannat Ashiyani's army with the Afghans at the moment when the victorious army was on its way to conquer India."
