English: First page of a book titled "Explanations of Baptism procedures", prited in 1781 at Tranquebar/Tharangambadi. This is one of the oldest Christian books printed in Tamil Nadu, India. The image is taken from the book "Christianity and Tamil" by Tamil scholar Mayilai Seeni Venkatasamy in 1936. It was published by South Indian Saiva Sidhantha Publishers Limited at Tirunelveli. Venkatasamy got the idea for this book after listening to a speech by Madras Christian College Tamil professor sa. tha. Sargunar at a Tamil Conference in Chennai convened by The. Po. Meenakshi Sundaranar. Vipulanandar, Gnanaprakasar and Sargunar have written the preface for this book.
