English: Hypothetical prototype floating outpost studying colonization of Venus around 40 km above the surface supported by tori full of hydrogen and oxygen. Shielding against CMEs is provided by a retractable mylar/kevlar/aluminum dish and shelter compartments surrounded by water x. It can be also be combined with oxygen to generate water and power. During the waste cycle, dirty water is exposed to solar UV radiation which separates the hydrogen and oxygen molecules to restart the cycle. Visible at the top-right, sunshine reflecting from Earth and the Moon.
Italiano: Prototipo di ipotetico avamposto galleggiante per studiare la colonizzazione di Venere circa 40 km sopra la superficie sostenuto da tori riempiti di idrogeno e ossigeno. La schermatura contro le CME è fornita da un aggetto retrattile in mylar/kevlar/alluminio e compartimenti circondati da acqua. Può anche essere combinato con l'ossigeno per produrre acqua ed energia. Durante il ciclo dei rifiuti, l'acqua sporca viene esposto a radiazioni solari UV che separa le molecole di idrogeno e ossigeno per ricominciare il ciclo. Visibile in alto a destra, il sole si riflette dalla Terra e dalla Luna. |
